Founded in the early 2000s by a group of passionate young creators, Future View Salone began with local drama performances and evolved into a national force for media and social impact. Today, under the leadership of Mohamed “Tyson” Conteh, the organisation produces award-winning documentaries, youth programmes, and civic education campaigns that reach thousands across Sierra Leone.
From tackling issues like gender-based violence, human trafficking, and youth unemployment to empowering young filmmakers with training and mentorship, we tell the stories that move Sierra Leone forward.
Mohamed “Tyson” Conteh, founder and director of Future View Salone, is an award-winning filmmaker, social advocate, and BBC Africa Eye contributor.
Trained by WeOwn TV and Purple Field Productions UK, his work has screened internationally, including at the Miami Film Festival and IDFA Amsterdam.
Tyson’s mission is to use storytelling not just to entertain — but to educate, heal, and unite.
We identify critical issues affecting Sierra Leonean communities and use the power of film to inspire positive change. Through strong partnerships, we create documentaries that raise awareness, spark dialogue, and build hope.
We use media as a bridge for empowerment — informing, educating, and inspiring people toward lasting progress. We envision a generation of young Sierra Leoneans with the creativity, confidence, and skills to tell their stories and transform their communities.
